Having your ducts cleaned eliminates dust, pet hair, mold, and other irritants from your furnace and ductwork.

If you’re questioning whether or not you need duct cleaning, we have tips on deciding if you need furnace and duct cleaning.

But, the biggest question is how do ducts even get cleaned?

How INTEK Duct Cleaning Works

INTEK’s furnace and duct cleaning service begins with one of our skilled technicians carefully cutting an access hole into the trunk of the ductwork to attach a HEPA [high efficiency particulate air] vacuum.

This vacuum creates powerful suction throughout the ductwork.

Our technician then carefully removes the vent covers and cleans them thoroughly.

A line connected to an air compressor carries high pressure air through different attachments used to clean the ductwork.

These attachments agitate the dust and debris inside the ductwork allowing the vacuum to capture these unwanted elements.

Whenever possible, additional, smaller access holes are drilled into the ductwork to allow the technician to get every angle.

Once done cleaning, these access points are sealed and the technicians then carefully reinstall the vents and seal the vacuum access hole in the trunk line.
